Biography


Elain Blanco was born in June, 1988, in Havana, Cuba. His family was a prominent musical family. His parents taught him their love for music at an early age. At 9, he embraced the specialty of trumpet mastering at the conservatoire Alejandro Garcia Caturla, one of the most prestigious in the nation. There he discovered his love for the piano. He went to the National Art Education College where he acquired the highest credentials given by a learning institution in orchestration, composition, piano, harmony. Elain graduated "Magna Cum Leade" in 2008.  As a professional pianist, arranger and teacher, he has helped numerous bands in the country. He has worked with "The Dan," "Aide Milan," "Raul Torres," "Yolo Bonilla," "Lazaro Morua," "Juana Bacallao,"  "Francis del Rio," "Sexto Sentido," among others. In these two last groups he has leaved a personal stamp of his work as a pianist, composer and arranger. In 2009,  he travel abroad with Francis del Rio, promoting the album "Vanidad de Vanidades" under the record label "Colibri". They toured nine European countries. Later, he records at "Abdala Studios" another album titled "Sol", only this time as producer and composer... In 2010, he toured with Sexto Sentido, and promoted "My Way"-a project full of ethnic sounds and complicated metrics. Later, he founded his own Jazz Band: "Elain Blanco and friends", and found acceptance in the Caribbean and in Europe. In the summer of 2011, he made a successful tour of Europe, sharing the stage with musicians of international stature as Hiromi Uehara, Arturo Sandoval, Bobby Mcferrin, Chick Corea among others. In 2012, Elain signs a contract with the Government of Mexico to work in programs doing conferences and clinics, giving musical education to children and adults around Mexico. He participated and gained world recognition at the Jazz Festival of "Los Cabos", playing with the famous Canadian trumpeter Jens Linderman. Elain Blanco has an amazing musical ability, he uses to impact the public with his works for piano and his solos. He has cultivated all styles of music from symphonic to contemporary Jazz! He is currently involved with his own project titled "Elain Blanco Trio," which is accompanied by international artists: Orlando J. Chils at the bass and his father Lazaro Blanco at the drums.
